Course Description: Premise Wiring Systems Fundamentals is designed for new or experienced personnel who desire a fundamental knowledge of copper and fiber optic theory, codes, standards and practices widely accepted in the Telecommunications Industry today. Excellent for those who install, supervise, design and\or oversee the installation of copper and fiber premise wiring systems.
Understand the telecommunication-wiring standards for category rated cabling.
Understand a category rated wiring structure (basic link and channel Link).
Know how to analyze the performance parameters for category rated cabling systems.
Know the performance specifications for the high performance Twisted Pair Media.
Understand Premise Wiring Test Equipment.
Understand distance limitations, attenuation, near-end crosstalk, wire mapping and how to test these measurable electrical properties of copper and fiber media.
Understand the current Telecommunication wiring standards.

When you complete the PWT-PWSF fundamentals class you Receive a FiberOptic.com Certificate (PWSF).

When you complete the PWT-PWSF fundamentals class and pass the certification exams you receive a FiberOptic.com Certificate for PWT-PWSF fundamentals and are awarded the Fiberoptic.com Certified Professional – Premise Wiring Training Level 1 (FOCP-PWT1) Certification. You also earn credit toward the next level of training certification:
