Objectives
FiberOptic.com's Master in Splicing program is the first of its kind in the telecommunications field. It is designed to provide an unmatched, real-life experience with solid classroom instruction. Using various labs designed around specific interest. The Master in Splicing training is a perfect compliment for experienced installers and technicians. Featured are advanced hands-on design labs along with advanced fusing splicing techniques. Student work with several types of fusion splicers from at least 2 different manufacturers.


Brief Course Synopsis
In this extensive hands-on training each student will completely:
Prepare a singlemode cable for fusion splicing and assemble it onto a splice closure
Prepare and splice multimode pigtails in a LAN fiber link
Each Student will use multiple types and at least 2 different brands of fusion splicers, cleavers and preparation tools and testers.

Audience Profile
FiberOptic.com's Master in Splicing (FOT-MFS) program is designed for experienced installers and technicians seeking a better understanding of fiber network design and an advanced understanding of fusion splicing skills. This course is designed for experienced installers and technicians involved in the construction, maintenance and troubleshooting, utility, and service industries. An excellent opportunity for current BICSI ITS Installer 2, BICSI ITS Technician, ETA Installers and Technicians, to gain practical field skills that can be immediately put to use on the job.

The following knowledge or experience level is required:
2 years fiber optic installation experience
Knowledge of fiber optic cable types
Knowledge of cable installation
Knowledge of cable testing


Requirements
2 days extensive hands-on class.


Credit Toward Certification
When you complete the Master in Splicing (FOT-MFS) course and pass the Certified Professional Level 3 testing exams you receive the FiberOptic.com designation Certified Professional – Advanced Installer "Master in Splicing" and are awarded the Fiberoptic.com Certified Professional Fiber Optic Training Level 3 designation. You also earn credit toward the next level of training certification.
Full credit toward Advanced Installer "Master in Splicing" (FOCP-FOT3) Certification
Full credit toward FiberOptic.com Fundamentals Certification (FOT-FOF)


Exam Guide

Written exams are designed to test the knowledge gained. Hands-on exams are designed to validate skills.

By passing either exam automatically eligible for FOT-FOF Certification

Financing Options
FiberOptic.com financing is available for qualified applicants (US residents only).
1/3 down with the balance paid over 12 month following the training course.
An interest rate of 15% will be applied to the balance of the training amount and distributed over the remaining 11 payments.
