Objectives
Certified Fiber Optic Installer training is designed for those who design, install or maintain Fiber Optic Systems. It identifies you as an installer who demonstrates a practical knowledge of fiber optic theory, codes, standards and practices widely accepted in the Telecommunications Industry today. In addition this training incorporates two days of hands-on training including Fiber Terminations, Cable preparations, Fusion splicing, OTDR operation and Optical Loss Testing. Learn skills which are applicable to all the functions required to safely and competently install fiber optics communications cabling.

Audience Profile
Candidates for this course don't have to have any experience in the following areas:
Fiber Optics as a solution concept.
Identification of Cables.
Identification of Connectors and Terminations.
Splicing Techniques: Fusion and Mechanical.
Identification of Enclosures & Panels.
Plans and Specifications.
Identification of Test Equipment.


Requirements
Must attend 4 days course by certified trainer. Hands-on lab included.


Credit Toward Certification
When you complete the Fiber Optic Fundamentals (FOT-CFI) course you earn full credit toward the following certifications:
Full credit toward FiberOptic.com Fundamentals Certificate (FOF)
Full credit toward FiberOptic.com Certified Fiber Optic Installer (CFI)
Full credit toward ETA Certified Fiber Optic Installer (CFOI)


Exam Guide
The following exams required to receive CFI Certification:

Automatically covered FOF Exam and eligible for FOF Certification

Financing Options
FiberOptic.com financing is available for qualified applicants (US residents only).
1/3 down with the balance paid over 12 month following the training course.
An interest rate of 15% will be applied to the balance of the training amount and distributed over the remaining 11 payments.
